PhD defences Political History

Op donderdag 18 december 2025 om 14:00 uur verdedigt Matthijs Ooms in de Aula van de Universiteit van Amsterdam zijn proefschrift ‘Handelsbescherming: de Koninklijke Marine en de bescherming van de Nederlandse koopvaardij 1935-1991’.

Nienke Altena heeft op 24 November 2025 haar dissertatie ‘In ‘waardigen nationalen geest’. Het Nederlandse middelbaar onderwijs tijdens de Duitse bezetting 1940-1945’ verdedigd aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam.

Op dinsdag 11 november 2025 promoveerde Ruben Ros aan de Universiteit Leiden op het proefschrift ‘Expert Politics. Technocratic Reasoning in Dutch Parliamentary Debate, 1917-1994’.
