Call for Papers Conference “Narratives: Negotiating Meaning, Knowledge, and Identity”. 

On 11-12 April 2024, the Leiden University Centre for the Arts in Society (LUCAS) will host the two-day conference “Narratives: Negotiating Meaning, Knowledge, and Identity”. This cross-cultural and cross-historical conference asks: how do we shape the world through narrative, and how do these narratives in turn shape us? Deadline for proposals: 30 November 2023.

The conference will feature keynote lectures by Dr Caroline Dodds Pennock (University of Sheffield) and Professor Nidesh Lawtoo, (Leiden University). The Conference Committee encourages participation from a diverse range of researchers across the humanities and social sciences.

We invite proposals for 20-minute individual papers and complete panels of three presentations.
