The Roosevelt Institute for American Studies in Middelburg, the Netherlands, organizes an International PhD Seminar every Spring and Fall. These seminars are aimed at PhD students whose research covers any aspect of American culture, society, politics, media or foreign relations, current or historical, and offers them the opportunity to receive extensive feedback on their work. The deadline for proposals is 15 September 2024.

During the last board meeting of the Association for Political History in Stockholm on 13 June 2024, Pasi Ihalainen was elected as the new president of the APH. Also three new universities joined the APH, the University of Gdansk (Prof. Dr. Barbara Klassa), Charles University Prague (Dr. Jaroslav Valkoun) and the University of Helsinki (Prof. Dr. Juhana Aunesluoma and Prof. Dr. Johanna Rainio-Niemi).
