Een van de jubileumactiviteiten is een wetenschappelijke prijsvraag voor het beste historische essay van maximaal 5000 woorden (inclusief annotatie) over een onderwerp uit de geschiedenis van de Friezen, Fryslân en / of de voormalige Friese landen.
