Het Jaarboek Achttiende Eeuw 2026 wil de impact van de Amerikaanse Onafhankelijkheid voor het voetlicht brengen, uitdrukkelijk gebruikmakend van het transnationale perspectief. We nodigen auteurs graag uit tot bijdragen over het ontstaan van de Revolutie en haar ideologische en materiële dimensies in politiek, literatuur, filosofie, kunst en economie. 27 June 2025 17:00: Public lecture by Frank Trentmann (Birkbeck, London) on Complicity, Conscience and Compassion: History and Morality in Germany since the Second World War
On Friday June 27th, Radboud University will host the third annual conference of the Platform Duitse Geschiedenis on Borders, Belonging and Moral Obligation in German History.
The conference will conclude with a public lecture by Frank Trentmann (Birkbeck, London) on Complicity, Conscience and Compassion: History and Morality in Germany since the Second World War.
